Multi-channel Wired Base Station 8 zones
The Legom TCC Base Station is the central connection unit for room-by-room temperature control in underfloor heating and hydronic HVAC systems, designed for 8 heating zones at 230V. As the larger sibling of the BS-Y6, the TCC connects all system components — thermostats, actuators, pump, and boiler — through a single wiring hub, supporting up to 8 thermostats and 16 actuators simultaneously for larger residential and light commercial installations.
All switching commands from connected thermostats are forwarded directly to the corresponding actuators, while integrated pump and boiler control outputs manage the heating circuit automatically with a 2-minute start delay. With screwless terminal connections, white LED status indicators for every zone, and wall-mount screw installation, the TCC is designed for fast, intuitive commissioning across larger multi-zone heating systems.
Key Benefits
- 8-zone room-by-room temperature control – Connects up to 8 thermostats and up to 16 actuators simultaneously, enabling independent temperature management across 8 separate heating zones from a single unit
- Integrated pump and boiler control – Built-in potential-free contacts for both pump and boiler circuits with a 2-minute start delay and follow-up time, automatically starting and stopping the heating circuit based on zone demand
- Screwless terminal connection technique – All connections use push-in clamping technology for fast, tool-free wiring that reduces installation time and eliminates loose connection risks
- LED status signalling per zone – Individual white LED per heating zone, plus LEDs for boiler/pump active and mains voltage on, visible even with the casing cover closed
- Normally Closed (NC) control direction – Standard NC configuration ensures heating zones default to active when no command is present, providing fail-safe warmth during control system faults
- 120-second delayed start – Prevents conflicts between internal and external water pumps during system startup
- High capacity for larger installations – With 16 actuator terminals across 8 zones (2 actuators per zone), the TCC suits larger homes, apartments, and light commercial spaces that exceed the 6-zone capacity of the BS-Y6
- Compact and maintenance-free – ABS housing at 90 × 324 × 52mm with IP20 protection and DIN EN 60730-1 compliant integrated cable guide and strain relief

Application & Use Cases
- Larger underfloor heating systems with up to 8 zones – The primary application. The TCC manages up to 8 room thermostats and 16 actuators, making it suited for larger homes, apartment units, and light commercial spaces that require more zones than the 6-zone BS-Y6 can accommodate
- Hydronic radiator systems with multiple zone valves – Used as the control center for multi-room radiator systems across larger floor plans where independent zone control is required in up to 8 rooms
- Residential and light commercial heating with boiler and pump integration – The built-in pump and boiler control outputs allow the TCC to manage the complete heating circuit, starting the pump and boiler only when at least one zone calls for heat
- Upgrade from 6-zone to 8-zone systems – The TCC provides a direct capacity upgrade path for installations that have grown beyond the 6-zone BS-Y6 capacity, using the same wiring concepts and installation approach
- New construction multi-room heating installations – Suited for new builds where the heating design specifies 7 or 8 independent temperature zones across the property
Installation Notes
- Loosen the casing cover at both latching points with a screwdriver and remove it before beginning any wiring
- Mark the two fixing holes on the wall and drill them. The unit must be horizontally aligned. Install with M4 dowels and screws depending on wall condition
- Align the unit and tighten the screws by hand to avoid overtightening the ABS casing
- Lay all cables into the casing through the integrated strain relief before making connections. Route cables using the internal cable guide channels
- All connections use screwless push-in terminals — no screwdriver required for wiring. Cables from 0.2mm² to 1.5mm² accepted with vertical entry
- Connect thermostats to the thermostat terminals and actuators to the actuator terminals. The TCC supplies voltage directly to connected thermostats and actuators — no separate power supply required for these components
- Connect pump and boiler to the respective potential-free contact outputs. Both circuits have a fixed 2-minute turn-on delay and 2-minute follow-up time after the last zone deactivates
- Close the casing cover and apply mains voltage. The unit is immediately ready to operate
- Note: unlike the BS-Y6, the TCC does not have a magnetic installation option — wall screw installation only
- Do not expose the unit to ambient temperatures outside the 0°C to +50°C operating range or humidity above 80% non-condensing
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the TCC and the BS-Y6?
Both units are 230V wired base stations for underfloor heating zone control with integrated pump and boiler outputs, using the same screwless terminal wiring approach and the same 2-minute pump/boiler delay logic. The key differences are capacity and size. The TCC supports 8 zones and 16 actuators, while the BS-Y6 supports 6 zones and 12 actuators. The TCC is physically larger at 90 × 324 × 52mm and 510g versus 184 × 67 × 35mm and 275g for the BS-Y6. The BS-Y6 also offers a magnetic installation option that the TCC does not. LED indicators are white on the TCC and yellow on the BS-Y6. Choose the TCC when 7 or 8 zones are required; choose the BS-Y6 for 6 zones or fewer.
How many actuators can be connected to the TCC?
The TCC provides terminals for up to 16 actuators across its 8 zones, allowing up to 2 actuators per zone. This accommodates larger rooms or open-plan areas where two manifold loops serve a single thermostat-controlled zone.
What is the purpose of the 2-minute turn-on delay?
The 2-minute delay before the pump and boiler activate prevents short-cycling during brief thermostat switching events and avoids conflicts between the TCC’s internal control logic and external water pump commands at startup. It protects the pump from repeated rapid start-stop sequences that reduce service life.
Does the TCC work with any thermostat and actuator brand?
The TCC is compatible with standard 230V thermostats and NC (Normally Closed) thermal actuators. It is designed to work within the Legom HVAC ecosystem alongside Legom room thermostats and thermal actuators, but the standard terminal connections and voltage supply are also compatible with most third-party 230V heating control components. Verify that your thermostat output and actuator specifications match the TCC’s rated switching power of 2A / 200VA before installation.
What does Normally Closed (NC) control direction mean?
In an NC system, the thermal actuator is in its open (flow-on) position when no electrical signal is present, and closes (stops flow) when energized by a thermostat. This means heating zones are active by default and the thermostat commands the system to stop heating when the target temperature is reached — the most common configuration for underfloor heating systems in Europe.
Can the TCC be expanded beyond 8 zones?
The TCC is fixed at 8 zones as designed. For heating systems requiring more than 8 independent zones, contact the Legom team to discuss multi-unit configurations or alternative control solutions for your project.
