Temperature vs. Stroke

Stroke values measured during heating-up cycle. Cooling-down cycle may exhibit slight hysteresis typical of wax thermostatic elements. Refer to the Temperature VS. Stroke curve in the Datasheet for the full graphical representation.

• Light-duty thermostatic valves with smaller valve travel requirements – The LG036X is suited for compact TMV or control valve assemblies on the 90N light-duty platform where total piston travel must be kept below 4.4mm while still covering the full 15°C to 90°C operating range

• The LG036X must be installed in direct contact with the fluid whose temperature it is intended to sense, ensuring accurate thermostatic response across all five stages of the stroke profile
• Ensure the element is fully immersed in the flow path within the host valve or assembly. Partial immersion will reduce effective stroke output and distort the deceleration zone behavior at 35°C~38°C
• Do not expose the element to temperatures exceeding 90°C, as sustained exposure above the maximum rated temperature may permanently degrade the wax charge
• The LG036X has a maximum load of only 90N. Do not use in valve assemblies with return springs rated above this force
• The spring rate of 1N/mm is significantly softer than standard Legom models. Ensure the host valve return spring stiffness is matched to this spring rate to achieve accurate piston reset on cooling
• Keep the element away from external heat sources not part of the intended sensing medium to avoid premature actuation across any of the five stroke stages
• For OEM integration, confirm three key parameters in writing before finalizing the order: temperature range, working stroke, and maximum load
