HFT33016Z-01 Thermostatic Mixing Valve, G1/2
The Legom HFT33016Z-01 Thermostatic Mixing Valve is a compact G1/2 thermostatic mixing valve with a gray glossy silk-screen handwheel, nickel-plated union body, and an integrated water inlet and outlet connector — the smallest connection size in the Legom HFT gray glossy union series. Combining easy-disconnect union serviceability with nickel-plated corrosion resistance and a distinctive gray handwheel finish, the HFT33016Z-01 suits compact domestic water heater installations and single-fixture applications where a modern neutral aesthetic is required alongside reliable thermostatic performance.
Temperature adjustment range 20–60°C, control accuracy ±2°C, working pressure range 0.03–1 MPa, compatible with hot water inlet 30–99°C and cold water inlet 5–29°C. Manufactured from 57-3 copper with nickel plating. Factory-preset temperature ranges available for OEM orders.
Key Benefits
- Gray glossy handwheel at the smallest domestic TMV size – The distinctive gray glossy silk-screen finish — unique in the Legom HFT range — is available at G1/2 for compact and single-fixture installations where the gray aesthetic matches the surrounding plumbing environment or OEM product color scheme
- Nickel-plated union body – Union connections with nickel plating provide easy-disconnect serviceability and corrosion resistance in a single premium specification, allowing the valve to be removed for cartridge inspection without rotating the body
- Integrated water inlet and outlet connector – Connections are integrated into the valve body assembly, reducing external fitting count and creating a compact self-contained mixing assembly at the installation point
- G1/2 for compact and point-of-use installations – Suits single-fixture applications, compact domestic water heaters, and installations where G3/4 connections are not available or required
- ±2°C temperature control accuracy – Consistent mixed water delivery within ±2°C of the set point across varying supply conditions
- 20–60°C adjustment range – Full-range flexibility with factory-preset narrower ranges available for safety applications
- No electricity required – Self-acting thermostatic operation requiring no electrical connection
- 57-3 copper with nickel plating – Durable corrosion-resistant construction for potable hot water service
- Wide pressure range 0.03–1 MPa – Including gravity-fed low-pressure systems

Application & Use Cases
- Compact domestic water heaters with G1/2 outlets – Small electric storage, instantaneous, and compact solar thermal units where G1/2 is the connection size and the gray handwheel coordinates with the heater’s color scheme
- Single-fixture point-of-use installations – Individual basin, shower, or bath applications requiring a compact TMV with a modern gray finish and union serviceability
- OEM water heater product integration with gray color specification – Manufacturers specifying gray handwheel TMVs for product differentiation or brand color matching at the G1/2 connection size
- Confined installation spaces requiring union serviceability – Under-sink, in-cabinet, and in-wall locations where the union connection’s easy-disconnect advantage is most valuable at the compact G1/2 size
- Modern domestic plumbing environments – Where the gray glossy finish coordinates better than black or white alternatives with the surrounding aesthetic
Installation Notes
- Install the union tail pieces onto the hot (H), cold (C), and mixed (M) pipe ends using appropriate thread sealant, then connect the valve body by tightening the nickel-plated union nuts — no rotation of the valve body required
- Ensure union sealing washers or O-rings are correctly seated — hand-tight plus a quarter turn is sufficient
- Install isolation valves upstream of both hot and cold inlets
- Install a strainer on the cold inlet to protect the thermostatic cartridge
- The valve performs optimally at 0.1–0.5 MPa
- Verify outlet temperature at the fixture with a calibrated thermometer after installation
- Flush supply lines before installation to remove debris
Frequently Asked Questions
When should I choose the HFT33016Z-01 over the HFT33017Z-01?
Choose the HFT33016Z-01 when the water heater outlet or supply pipework is G1/2 (DN15). Choose the HFT33017Z-01 when the connection is G3/4 (DN20). Both have identical gray glossy handwheels, nickel-plated union bodies, integrated connectors, and thermostatic performance — connection size is the only difference.
Why is the handwheel gray rather than the more common black or white?
The gray glossy handwheel is a design specification that provides a neutral, modern aesthetic distinct from both black (the most common HFT handwheel color) and white. It suits installation environments with gray, silver, or light-toned surroundings, and is particularly relevant for OEM water heater products with gray color scheme branding. It is one of only two models in the standard Legom HFT range with a gray handwheel — the other being the G3/4 HFT33017Z-01.
Can the temperature range be factory-preset?
Yes. OEM and project orders can specify factory-preset temperature ranges of 35–55°C, 40–50°C, or 30–60°C. The gray handwheel can also be customized with an OEM graphic or alternative color. Contact the Legom team with your requirements.
