HFT33008Z-01 Thermostatic Mixing Valve, G1/2
The Legom HFT33008Z-01 Thermostatic Mixing Valve is a premium G1/2 thermostatic mixing valve with a fully electroplated body and electroplated handwheel and an integrated water inlet and outlet joint — the highest-specification finish combination available in the Legom HFT G1/2 thermostatic mixing valve range. Unlike models where electroplating is applied only to the handwheel over a standard-plated or pickled body, the HFT33008Z-01 carries electroplating throughout both the body and handwheel, delivering a consistent premium metallic appearance across the entire visible valve assembly.
Temperature adjustment range 20–60°C, control accuracy ±2°C, working pressure range 0.03–1 MPa, compatible with hot water inlet 30–99°C and cold water inlet 5–29°C. Manufactured from 57-3 copper with full electroplating. Factory-preset temperature ranges available for OEM orders.
Key Benefits
- Full electroplating on both body and handwheel – The highest surface treatment specification in the HFT G1/2 TMV range. Metallic electroplating is applied to both the valve body and the ABS handwheel, providing a unified premium metallic appearance across the entire assembly — not just the handwheel. This distinguishes the HFT33008Z-01 from models where electroplating is limited to the handwheel alone
- Integrated water inlet and outlet joint – Both the inlet and outlet connections are integrated into the valve body assembly, reducing the external fitting count at the installation point and creating a compact, self-contained thermostatic mixing assembly suited to OEM water heater integration and confined-space installations
- G1/2 — compact domestic and point-of-use size – The smallest standard domestic TMV connection size, suited to single-fixture applications, compact water heaters, and OEM products with G1/2 connection specifications
- ±2°C temperature control accuracy – Consistent mixed water delivery within ±2°C of the set point across varying supply pressure and temperature conditions
- 20–60°C adjustment range – Full-range commissioning flexibility with factory-preset narrower ranges available for safety applications
- No electricity required – Self-acting thermostatic operation with no electrical connection needed at the valve
- 57-3 copper with full electroplating – Premium construction with consistent metallic surface treatment throughout for durable potable hot water service
- Wide pressure range 0.03–1 MPa – Including low-pressure gravity-fed systems from 0.03 MPa

Application & Use Cases
- Premium OEM water heater products with full electroplated specification – Water heater manufacturers specifying electroplated TMV components throughout the assembly for a consistent premium metallic appearance in their premium-tier product lines
- Visible and semi-exposed compact installations – Under-sink, in-cabinet, and point-of-use TMV locations where the fully electroplated body and handwheel coordinate with premium chrome or nickel plumbing fixtures in the immediate environment
- Compact domestic water heaters with G1/2 outlets – Small electric storage, instantaneous, and compact solar thermal units where G1/2 is the connection size and the premium electroplated finish is a product specification requirement
- Single-fixture point-of-use applications – Individual basin, shower, or bath TMV applications requiring the highest available finish specification at the G1/2 connection size
Installation Notes
- Connect hot water supply to the hot inlet via the integrated inlet joint (H), cold water to cold inlet (C), and distribution pipework to the integrated mixed outlet joint (M) using appropriate thread sealant
- Install isolation valves upstream of both hot and cold inlets
- Install a strainer on the cold inlet to protect the thermostatic cartridge
- Handle the electroplated body and handwheel carefully — avoid contact with thread sealant or pipe compounds on the electroplated surfaces to preserve the metallic finish
- The valve performs optimally at 0.1–0.5 MPa
- Verify outlet temperature at the fixture with a calibrated thermometer after installation
- Flush supply lines before installation to remove debris
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the HFT33008Z-01 and the HFT33009Z-01?
Both models share the same G1/2 connection, fully electroplated body and handwheel, integrated joint, and identical pressure and temperature specifications. The critical difference is the valve function: the HFT33008Z-01 is a standard thermostatic mixing valve that blends hot and cold water to a set delivery temperature — it always allows flow and modulates the mixing ratio. The HFT33009Z-01 is a one-way low temperature opening valve that opens when temperature falls below the threshold and closes when temperature rises above it — it either allows or blocks flow based on temperature. Choose the HFT33008Z-01 for standard hot water anti-scald mixing. Choose the HFT33009Z-01 for temperature-based flow gating in recirculation or OEM thermostatic management circuits.
How does full body electroplating differ from handwheel-only electroplating?
Several models in the HFT range have electroplated handwheels over bodies with standard surface plating, natural pickling, or nickel plating. On these models, the metallic finish is limited to the handwheel. The HFT33008Z-01 applies electroplating to both the body and the handwheel — the metallic surface treatment is consistent throughout the entire visible assembly, providing a unified premium appearance rather than a contrast between a metallic handwheel and a differently finished body.
Can the temperature range be factory-preset?
Yes. OEM and project orders can specify factory-preset temperature ranges of 35–55°C, 40–50°C, or 30–60°C. Electroplating color and finish options including chrome, satin nickel, and gold are available for OEM specification. Contact the Legom team with your requirements.
