Smart Functions That Make a Difference

Fault Codes for Easy Troubleshooting

If something goes wrong, our thermostat shows clear fault codes so you can identify the issue quickly without needing a technician for basic diagnostics.

  • E1: Internal sensor short circuit
  • E2: Internal sensor open circuit
  • E3: External sensor short circuit
  • E4: External sensor open circuit

Advanced Settings for Precise Temperature Control

You can easily adjust temperature compensation, starting temperature difference, and high and low temperature protection settings directly from the thermostat interface. For guidance on how to configure these settings to maximize energy efficiency, you can read our article on room thermostat settings for energy efficiency.

Factory Reset for Quick Recovery

Made a mistake in your settings? No problem. Simply restore factory settings anytime to return the thermostat to its original configuration without any technical support required.

Product Quality and Design Upgrades

We care about every detail of our smart thermostats, from production to your hands.

High-Quality Circuit Boards

Our SMT circuit boards are made in dust-free, anti-static environments and go through full inspection at every production stage.

Inductive Touch Buttons

Stronger control sensitivity and longer lifespan than traditional touch switches, so the buttons remain responsive even after years of regular use.

Wide Voltage Switching Power Supply

No more worries about voltage compatibility. Our design supports 100V to 240V worldwide, which means the same thermostat model works across different markets without any modifications.

“When we designed for both British and European markets at the same time, the hardest part was not the electrical specs. That part is clear. The real challenge was making the installation experience consistent and intuitive for installers who work with two or three different thermostat brands in the same week. Every detail, from the protective buckles that stop the panel dropping mid-installation, to the laser-engraved labels that do not fade, came directly from watching real installers work and asking them what wastes their time. A thermostat that is easy to install gets installed correctly. And a correctly installed thermostat is the one that actually delivers on its energy savings promise.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What standards do Legom smart thermostats support?

Legom smart thermostats are available in two main standard configurations: British Standard and European Standard. Both configurations are designed to meet the regulatory and dimensional requirements of their respective markets. British Standard models use the 86mm x 86mm or 146mm formats common in the UK and markets that follow British electrical standards, while European Standard models use the 80mm round or 86mm square formats typical in continental Europe and many other regions. We also offer 24V versions for systems that operate on low-voltage control circuits, such as fan coil units and commercial HVAC installations.

What does NO/NC mean on a thermostat specification?

NO stands for Normally Open and NC stands for Normally Closed. These terms describe the default electrical state of the thermostat’s output relay when no heating or cooling demand is present. A Normally Open thermostat only closes the circuit (activates the heating device) when the room temperature drops below the setpoint. A Normally Closed thermostat keeps the circuit closed by default and opens it when the setpoint is reached. The correct choice depends on the type of heating system you are connecting. Most underfloor heating zone valves and boiler systems require one or the other, and choosing incorrectly can cause the system to run continuously or not at all.

How do I read and respond to the fault codes on a Legom thermostat?

Legom smart thermostats display fault codes directly on the LED screen when a sensor issue is detected. E1 indicates an internal sensor short circuit, E2 indicates an internal sensor open circuit, E3 indicates an external sensor short circuit, and E4 indicates an external sensor open circuit. Short circuit faults typically suggest a damaged or pinched sensor wire, while open circuit faults usually indicate a disconnected or broken sensor. If you see any of these codes, first check the sensor wiring connections at the thermostat base before replacing any components. Most sensor faults are resolved by re-securing a loose terminal connection.

What is the operating voltage range of Legom smart thermostats?

Most Legom smart thermostat models support a wide voltage input of 100V to 240V, which makes them compatible with electrical systems across Europe, the UK, Asia, the Middle East, and most other markets worldwide. This eliminates the need for voltage converters or market-specific hardware variants in most cases. We also offer a 24V model specifically for low-voltage applications such as fan coil unit control and commercial building automation systems. Always verify the rated voltage of your specific model before installation and ensure the wiring complies with local electrical codes.

Can Legom thermostats be customized for OEM or ODM production?

Yes. Legom accepts both OEM and ODM orders for custom room thermostats. OEM production allows you to use your own brand name, logo, and packaging on a Legom-manufactured thermostat, while ODM involves working with our team to develop a product design tailored to your specific functional or aesthetic requirements. We have experience producing custom thermostats for partners in more than 90 countries and can accommodate a wide range of customization options including voltage specifications, communication protocols, display styles, and housing colors. To start a discussion, simply share your requirements with our team and we will provide a proposal based on your needs.
