HVAC Supplier in China

Global HVAC energy currently has strong support from numerous HVAC suppliers throughout the world. China is the country that is contributing to the growth of global HVAC energy after the United States. Legom as an HVAC supplier from China operates in more than 90 countries by collaborating with more than 400 business partners.

If you are starting a business in the HVAC sector now, then you can look at one of the many suppliers in China. This company usually has various kinds of certificates that you need as a customer to trust it. Apart from that, the products also meet the technological standards that people need now and in the future.

They are doing various things to create sustainable technological innovation so that they can create a future with a clear vision and mission. Living in the future means saving today with something that does not damage the environment.

What Does an HVAC Supplier Do to Customers

HVAC supplier’s scope of work includes procuring components for HVAC systems, providing HVAC system installation services, and implementing solutions in smart homes or offices. However, as time goes by, many HVAC suppliers have evolved into significant global OEM and ODM service solution providers. They can customize logos, develop products even for well-known brands, and sell products based on standards.

You might find a supplier like this in China. Their network is wide and collaborating with them is a benefit throughout the year. Both big and small companies can collaborate on HVAC projects with these HVAC suppliers.

A supplier’s standard HVAC production process also typically includes valve body assembly, paraffin warm pack filling, calibration, and testing section. The process uses automated production equipment to ensure product precision and sensitivity. And the whole process is under strict quality control.

The quality of products from HVAC suppliers that they will send to a number of consumers around the world also has several international certifications. If customers recognize quality that has quality assurance, then they will be confident in building strategic partnerships with other customers and suppliers. After that a stable and mutually beneficial community will be the superior global group in the future.

Certificates for HVAC Suppliers

As a potential customer of an HVAC supplier, you must be concerned about the various certificates that it has. However, you will use the supplier’s products for a long period of time and must immediately determine the contract agreement. You cannot keep changing HVAC suppliers just because the quality is inconsistent during use.

Having a certificate with international standards proves that the quality of the product has passed a certain level of testing. So, what certificates should we look at when deciding whether to collaborate with a particular HVAC supplier?

Certificate Issuing Body What It Covers Validity
RoHS EU / National authorities Restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment 5 years (recertification required if materials or design change)
CE European Union Product passport for the EU market covering EMC, low voltage, and machinery directives Ongoing (requires update if product changes)
ACS American Chemical Society Professional chemistry competency for HVAC engineers and product developers Professional certification
REACH European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals used in production Ongoing compliance required

RoHS Certification

Anyone who buys electronic products will definitely find this RoHS certification label. RoHS is an abbreviation for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. This refers to restrictions on the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. This also regulates the circulation of electronic waste, where as technology gets higher, people will replace their electronic equipment more often.

Types of substances that are in prohibition based on RoHS certification include Cadmium (Cd), Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE), Pb, Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB), Mercury, and Hexavalent Chromium. The RoHS certification process itself goes through 4 stages sequentially: documentation review, verification, final product analysis, and granting a license if all requirements are complete.

RoHS certification is only valid for five years. Companies must recertify if in the middle of the production process there is a change to the product raw materials, product design, or procurement procedures.

CE Certification

As an HVAC supplier, they have to meet the CE certification criteria, which is a form of product passport within the European Union. You can sell all products with the CE label freely within the EU. You can read more about how CE certification applies to HVAC and energy-related products in our article on European standard HVAC.

For example, an HVAC supplier will export one of its machines to the European Union. So, it needs to fulfill EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) instructions, low voltage instructions, machine instructions, and so on. If all qualifications are complete, the final product from the machine will receive a CE label.

ACS Certification

There is a professional society in the United States for practicing chemists which has more than 150 thousand members. American Chemical Society (ACS) always supports their big professional meetings and then other things such as publishing a number of scientific journals. HVAC companies that join this professional association definitely have product quality that is above average and safe.

The important people in the HVAC company must have majored in chemistry and professionally have exceeded 400 hours of traditional classroom work and 500 hours of formal laboratory experience in chemistry. What they do will gain certification by ACS.

REACH Certification

REACH is an acronym for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals. Scope of REACH is broad and covers all chemicals in the production process, import process, and circulating within the European Community. The purpose of REACH certification is clear. By having this certificate, the company gets permission to freely use certain substances on the EU market.

In addition, this certificate can protect the health of users and the environment from the use of chemicals. This certificate also reduces testing on animals and what is more important is that it can encourage innovation and competitiveness of the chemical industry around the world.

“When buyers ask me what separates a credible HVAC supplier from one that just says the right things, my answer is always the same: look at the certificates, and then ask them to explain what each one actually required to obtain. Any supplier can put logos on a brochure. A supplier who has genuinely gone through RoHS testing, CE compliance, and REACH evaluation knows exactly what those processes involved and can walk you through it. That conversation tells you more about a supplier’s production standards than any sales pitch.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an HVAC supplier do?

An HVAC supplier procures and provides components for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This includes sourcing valves, thermostats, thermal actuators, heat pumps, and other HVAC components. Many HVAC suppliers have also evolved into OEM and ODM service providers, meaning they can manufacture products to a customer’s specifications, apply a customer’s logo, and develop new products based on the customer’s requirements. This makes them partners in product development, not just parts providers.

Why is certification important when choosing an HVAC supplier?

Certification proves that a supplier’s products have been independently tested and verified against recognized international standards. Without certification, a buyer has only the supplier’s own claims to rely on. With RoHS certification, you know the product does not contain restricted hazardous substances. With CE certification, you know the product meets EU regulatory requirements and can be distributed freely within the EU. With REACH compliance, you know the chemicals used in manufacturing have been properly registered and evaluated. These certificates reduce the risk of regulatory problems, product failures, and supplier disputes.

What is the difference between RoHS and REACH certification?

RoHS focuses specifically on restricting certain hazardous substances in finished electrical and electronic products, such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and certain brominated flame retardants. REACH has a broader scope that covers the registration, evaluation, and authorization of all chemicals used at any stage of production, import, or circulation within the EU. A company can be RoHS compliant for its finished products while REACH covers the chemical substances used throughout the entire supply chain. Both are important for HVAC suppliers exporting to European markets.

How long does RoHS certification last?

RoHS certification is valid for five years. However, if a company changes its product raw materials, modifies the product design, or changes its procurement procedures during that period, it must go through the recertification process before those changes affect the certified product line. This is why working with established HVAC suppliers who have consistent production processes is important. Frequent changes to materials or designs introduce recertification risk and can create gaps in compliance.

Does Legom have all four of these certifications?

Yes. Legom holds RoHS, CE, ACS, and REACH certifications, along with other international certificates that support the quality and validity of our products. These certifications apply across our HVAC product range including wax thermostatic elements, thermal actuators, room thermostats, heat pumps, and valves. As a supplier operating in more than 90 countries with over 400 business partners, maintaining and renewing these certifications is a core part of how Legom ensures consistent product quality across every market it serves.
